OK, those old enough to remember this, raise your hands (or leave a comment):
I was telling my friends I was thinking of "Rock Me Amadeus" when I did this.
I explored Youtube to search for more "music from my youth". The pieces chosen are not based on any chronological sequence. Just searched for whatever comes to mind. This time I thought of "Skid Row". There are three songs by Skid Row that have a deep impression on me -- "I Remember You", "18 and Life", and "Wasted Time". Each of the songs have powerful vocals and memorable guitar intros and solo riffs.
My Friend-In-Japan asked what sort of music I liked. I replied, "Rock Ballads". This is one of them:
